Following the award-winning transformation of its headquarters, Lux Med takes the "Healing Nature" concept to the next level with this flagship dental clinic in Gdynia. This project is not just a medical facility; it is a scalable prototype for the future of dentistry. By replacing clinical coldness with neuroscience-based design and local identity, we created a space that reduces stress, honours the patient’s wellbeing, and redefines the standard of modern healthcare experience.

A new standard in Healthcare design
Lux Med, the leading private healthcare provider in Poland, initiated a comprehensive transformation of its facility design in 2024. The first pilot implementations — at the company’s headquarters and a selected clinic in Warsaw — were launched under the Healing Nature Design framework. introducing a new, research-driven approach to healthcare environments.

Redefining standards
We challenged the outdated view that high-quality design requires opulence or gold. Instead, we focused on "Conscious Quality"—a design approach that combines aesthetics, top quality, and user comfort. The result is a space that is timeless, environmentally responsible, and discreetly integrated with technology. This approach builds trust and offers a long-lasting experience rather than a superficial impression, revolutionising how patients perceive everyday medical care.
The healing oasis
We envisioned the interior as a sanctuary — safe, comfortable, and soft to the senses. By consciously implementing the "Healing Nature" philosophy, we utilised natural light, organic forms, and friendly materials to soothe the patient from the moment they step inside. The environment is designed to intrigue rather than overwhelm, ensuring patients feel cared for on an emotional level before treatment even begins.

2
Local DNA
While the clinic serves as a prototype for the wider network, it remains deeply rooted in the local character of Gdynia — a city of modernism and the sea. We honoured this heritage through subtle design narratives, such as a ceiling inspired by sea waves and the use of corten steel, which references the nearby port architecture.

Biophilic softness
To contrast the technological nature of dentistry, we softened the environment using biophilic principles. Greenery is treated not as a decoration but as a foundational element of the design, paired with rounded furniture and natural materials like stone and wood to eliminate visual stress.

3
Neuro-informed experience
Modernity is not about a striking lobby, but about being mindful of the diverse needs of patients — including sensory and emotional ones. We designed the space to be neuroinclusive, offering quiet zones and a choice between open and intimate waiting areas. This flexibility ensures comfort for everyone, including neurodivergent patients, allowing them to regulate their own sensory experience while waiting for appointments.

Stress reduction
Designing for health means designing for emotions. We utilized neuroscience research to create a layout that actively reduces stress. The circulation areas feature comfortable seating alcoves and water corners, allowing patients to decompress in a calm, supportive environment that feels like a natural extension of the healing process.

4
A future benchmark
This project serves as a clear benchmark for the future of dentistry in Poland. It proves that medical spaces can be beautiful, functional, and empathetic simultaneously. By establishing this standard based on neuroscience and nature, we have opened the door to a future where the environment itself becomes an active participant in the patient's health and comfort.

Staff satisfaction
The design equally elevates the experience for the medical staff. Specialists value the clinic as a functional, efficient, and prestigious workplace. With dedicated ergonomic facilities, including sterilisation zones and a comfortable staff room, the space supports the high performance of the medical team just as much as it supports the wellbeing of the patients.

5
Bespoke Harmony
We curated the interior to ensure every detail supports the calming atmosphere. Features like custom mirror compositions and warm lighting add a layer of softness that is intriguing rather than clinical. This philosophy extends to the visual communication, which is designed to guide patients intuitively. By ensuring even the signage is clear and soothing, we created a seamless experience where every element contributes to safety and reduced stress.
