Details
We led the comprehensive project development and site supervision for this new Baltic Headquarters, based on a concept by UK firm Scott Brownrigg. Spanning 8,000 sq m in Gdynia’s 3T Office Park, our role involved actively refining the design to ensure the global concept translated seamlessly into a functional local reality. We managed the evolution from concept to completion, delivering a complex workspace for over 1,000 employees.

Maritime DNA
The interior design honours the unique geography of Gdynia. The concept preserves the building's raw, industrial aesthetic by leaving concrete structures exposed, while softening them with specific maritime references. The space features rounded shapes reminiscent of sea waves, along with nautical accents like braided ropes, natural wood, and structural arches. The colour palette anchors the space, blending the client’s corporate navy blue with the deep tones of the Baltic Sea.

The landscape gradient
A defining feature of the floorplan is the visual storytelling found in the flooring. The transitions in texture and colour represent the successive layers of the waterfront landscape: moving from the deep greens of coniferous forests, through the beige of sandy dunes, and finally to the open blue of the sea. This approach not only defines zones but also provides a sense of tranquillity and connection to nature.

2
The social engine
To counteract the isolation of remote work, the layout prioritises community. The heart of the new office is the "SuperHub" — a large, multi-functional collaboration space designed for joint events and informal interactions. It serves as the social engine of the office, encouraging employees to connect in person and reinforcing the community atmosphere.

Human-centered workplace
The working areas are designed to support individual needs and a flexible, clean-desk policy. Every employee is provided with a personal locker for equipment and accessories. Crucially, all desks are height-adjustable, ensuring ergonomic comfort for every user regardless of where they sit.

Smart infrastructure
This ergonomic setup is supported by a robust technological backbone. We implemented advanced Building Management Systems (BMS) and occupancy control sensors to optimise operational efficiency. For the user, a dedicated reservation system manages desks, meeting rooms, and acoustic booths, allowing for flexible workplace changes throughout the day based on current needs.

3
Developing the vision
While the UK team provided the initial visual direction, we were responsible for the design development and final execution. We worked to refine the concept, solving complex detailing issues and adapting the design to fit the specific constraints of the building. Working alongside Arcadis (PM) and WSP (Engineering), we ensured that the aesthetic intent was not just preserved, but optimised for the local context.

International synergy
A key challenge was ensuring synergy between the UK-based concept and the local execution. The process relied on clear role division and responsibility among designers, contractors, and managers. This rigorous international coordination allowed for the integration of global elements — such as Space Branding and Wayfinding — unifying the appearance of the Gdynia office with the client's other locations around the world.

4
Local Responsibility
Aligning with the client’s commitment to sustainable development, we made a strategic decision to adapt the material selection during the implementation phase. We replaced materials specified in the initial concept with high-quality local alternatives. This shift significantly reduced the project’s carbon footprint by minimising transport distances, ensuring the office is not only visually stunning but environmentally responsible.

5
Quality and reception
The project has received widespread acclaim from both the client’s global management and the local employees. Users have specifically highlighted the quality of the jointly developed material finishes, the acoustic comfort, and the overall functionality of the space. The visual borrowings from nature have provided a sense of tranquillity, receiving positive feedback for creating a calming work environment.
