For a technology company operating in the cybersecurity sector, the office must be more than just a place to sit; it must be a sanctuary for focus and a catalyst for collaboration. Preparing for a relocation in Poznań, the client challenged us to design a workplace that genuinely supports a hybrid work model while prioritising employee well-being. Our response was to create an organic, neurodiversity-aware environment — a space that balances technical precision with human sensitivity, using tactile design to support the complex demands of the team.

Research-driven foundations
The project began with a deep dive into the client's DNA. We avoided assumptions, building the process around close collaboration with the client team. Through a series of qualitative interviews, co-creation workshops, and iterative prototyping, we translated abstract organisational needs and work patterns into a clear spatial framework.

From data to design
Translating the gathered data into a physical layout required a rigorous definition of workplace goals. By understanding exactly how the teams collaborate and where they need isolation, we were able to define functional zoning and space typologies that respond to the reality of the team's daily workflow. This specific insight allowed the design to move away from generic open-plan solutions in favour of tailored spaces that offer the right balance of isolation and interaction.

2
Neurodiversity at the core
The design concept introduces a "living" environment specifically tuned to be neurodiversity-aware. Cybersecurity professionals often require deep focus and may have varying sensory sensitivities, so the aesthetic moves away from stark, overstimulating tech-office tropes. Instead, the space adopts an organic design language inspired by nature to lower cognitive load and reduce stress.

Sensory calibration
The physical environment is constructed to support different cognitive modes through tactile and visual cues. We combined natural materials, soft colour gradients, and varied textures with carefully calibrated acoustics and lighting scenarios. Distinct zones were developed for social interaction, collaboration, focused work, and regeneration, each possessing a unique atmosphere while contributing to a coherent spatial narrative.

3
Built for change
The technology sector evolves rapidly, and the architecture is designed to keep pace. The layout prioritizes flexibility, featuring spaces capable of changing function over time to accommodate organizational shifts without requiring major reconstruction.

Conscious choices
Environmental responsibility serves as a critical pillar of the design, extending the focus on well-being to the planet itself. The team prioritised sustainable choices throughout the interior, focusing on low-waste materials and long-life solutions. This commitment results in a resilient workplace that supports the health of its users while minimizing its environmental footprint.
